Edgartown Voters Don't Even Sit

It was an exercise in expedient spending last night in Edgartown. Residents gathered at the Whaling Church at 7pm, spent apx $1.3 million and were home by about 7:30. Every article on the STM warrant passed, most unanimously. 
The cops are getting new cruisers, the shellfish dept. gets a motor but, most importantly, the Edgartown Great Pond gets a chance to live again. Nitrogen loading has crippled the pond in recent years and the town will be trying to alleviate some of that by extending town sewer into the Island Grove development.
