Bad Water Claims Victim

The boil water order has claimed its first victim: a house. The home, located at 29 Carol Ave, was destroyed by fire on Monday afternoon. The culprit? A pot of water left to boil on the stove. Luckily no one was home at the time. Can the Water Department be blamed?

Not likely but still. The house, belonging to the Darcys, was completely involved when fire and police arrived just after 11:30 am. While the fire is certainly a tragedy, VT has been told that the family was offered accommodation. Cuz that's how Islanders take care of their own.

The OBFD is still investigating the blaze.
