For many Americans there is no question. They must make sacrifices due to a loss of income, the GDP has been contracting by more than 6% for quite some time, or a loss of investments. Other Americans, like UAW workers, are being asked to give up pay and benefits so that we can come through this depression sooner rather than later. Meanwhile, Steve Rattner continues to build his Vineyard mansion.
Who is
Steven Rattner? Tsk, tsk. He is the president's auto adviser. He also made $100-million running a hedge fund. Some of that money is being put to use building a
"lavish $15 million summer home." The house is going up on Obed Dagget road off of Lambert's Cove. Not that any of this is news, VT reported on it back when Obama made the appointment, but now the New York Post is splashing it around on Page 6. All of this negative attention cannot be doing the Martha's Vineyard brand any good. Oh well, maybe what they say is true, there is no such thing as bad publicity.
